This summer season, in Hungary, Coca-Cola is testing a brand new sort of container for its dairy-free smoothie drink Adez: a paper bottle. It was made by the two-year-old Danish startup Paboco (aka Paper Bottle Firm) and overseen by head of product improvement Tim Silbermann, who is on a mission to eradicate plastic packaging.
Silbermann and his group experimented with fiber and barrier applied sciences and water-based inks to create a molded-paper bottle that’s versatile sufficient for use with a variety of supplies—and that may maintain up towards water vapor and inner strain from carbonation.
